Your first 100 Creations are gonna suck. Get them over with.

    You may have seen me doing YouTube videos, writing these blog posts, posting to IGTV and even talking about starting a podcast. That's overwhelming. It really is!

    You may even ask me: "Aren't you embarrassed with these stupid YouTube videos that you are posting?", and in that case my answer will simply be: "Yes!" Well then, Why do you keep doing them?

    Here is a fact, We are all creative people.. in our own different and very unique ways. This may sound very cliché to you but you cant deny it as a fact.

    Okay, Where are you going with this?

    With that being said, If you consider yourself creative in any way, shape or form, then I am very happy to tell you that your first 100 creations are gonna suck no matter what. That may be your first 100 drawings, your first 100 songs, or in my case, your first 100 YouTube videos, your first 100 writings and your first 100 podcasts (If God wills, this actually happens). So, What are you gonna do about it? Nothing at all? Maybe draw one or two drawings and stop because you are not "talented"? Or, Are you gonna keep creating even though your creation sucks and get over with those first hundred?

    Whatever YOU choose, I am gonna choose to keep going forward knowing that my YouTube videos are not as good as I want them to be, and by the way, don't think that I am happy with them or I think that they are "a piece of art" or something. I absolutely don't like them. But, I like that I've created them, that I have actually pulled up my phone camera and tried something new and wasn't "embarrassed" or "shy" to post something online, that I have actually downloaded a video-editing software on my computer and searched YouTube on how to edit your videos.

    You wanna know why that works? It's because after 100 drawings, you are basically a pro. You know brushes you know colors and all that stuff. And after 100 videos, you are basically a pro. You know video editing you know thumbnails and you know how to tell a story in a video and how to grab your viewer's attention.

    Here is something I want you to do, Go to your favorite YouTuber's channel, switch to their videos page and choose sort by oldest. Click the very first video (Or if you are very into this, their first 100-ish videos). You will most likely find videos which you definitely wouldn't have subbed to them for (If they haven't set them to private already). For fuck's sake, Have you seen PewDiePie's first video? Go check it out right now. It is a 2-minute Minecraft video of him and a friend trapping a zombie and talking Swedish.

    I am not telling you that everyone who posts a hundred videos to YouTube will be a successful YouTuber but, I am telling you that I am willing to go on with this journey and see where it puts me because, If there is something that I may regret in the very far future, It would be not knowing whether I could have now been creating quality YouTube videos or not.

    Don't be a perfectionist, Go on with what you are doing until you find something better to do.
